SANDRA ROUSSELL, Ed.D.
Sandra Roussell, Ed.D. is an international consultant for the Montessori Society and mother of two daughters, Dena, a graduate of Columbia University and USC School of Journalism, and Chrissy, a graduate of Georgetown University and USC School of Law. Dr. Roussell received her B.A. degree from Sacramento State University, her M.A. degree in Psychology from USC, and her Ed.D. from Pepperdine University.
The founder and former administrator of Escuela de Montessori and Escuela Elementary Center in Westchester, Long Beach, and Redondo Beach, Dr. Roussell is considered to be one of the nation’s foremost experts on the Montessori method and early childhood education. Her teaching method allows children to learn at their own pace and places special emphasis on the development of character. She has over 35 years of experience in the field of education and curriculum development.
